AMR is the Aston Martin’s performance sub brand, which recently revealed many products. At the Goodwood Festival of Speed Aston Martin Vulcan AMR Pro was revealed. Vulcan AMR Pro is the flagship model for the Performance sub brand. This is the third car that has undergone the AMR performance treatment. Aston Martin Rapide and Aston Martin Vantage. Amr offers enhanced performance, extreme styling option with sharper dynamics. Aston Martin Vulcan is already one of a kind car and the AMR Pro enhances it to another level. The AMR Pro produces more downforce than the standard Vulcan and has better acceleration. This is due to the Aerodynamic enhancement and the shorter Gear ratio.

Vulcan is actually a track car only and cannot be driven on the public road. The possibility of seeing Aston Martin Vulcan for a layman is almost none. There are just 24 specimens across the globe. To own Aston Martin Vulcan, one has to shell a whopping £1.8 million. The AMR Pro package is rumored to be available to the Vulcan owners between £100,000 and £150,000. The AMR Pro aerodynamic package includes panels right above the wheel arches. This helps to extract high-pressure air. There is also an addition of the dive planes to each side of the nose. All this help the car to pin its front end, Also the addition to these there are also front splitters to improve the handling.

Even with this addition, the AMR Pro edition is 5kgs lighter than the standard Vulcan. This is achieved by use of the improved carbonfibre composite. The Aerodynamic enhancement works wonder as per Aston Martin claims. The standard Vulcan produces a downforce 321kg while the AMR Pro produces 408kgs. Just to put things into perspective Aston Martin Vantage GTE is the class winner at Le Mans this year. That car produces a downforce of 317kgs. Vulcan AMR Pro is producing almost 90kgs more downforce than the company’s own Le Mans winner.
